1.主谓一致

选exist 就错啦! an infinite number 表示大量所以A 是正确的。答案为were.
2.IE中的逻辑主语

这题算不上难，只是逻辑主语的题目在以往的IE中比较少见，容易被忽视。正确答案为A. papyrus 不可能做using 动作。
3.词汇误用
The presentation of the award was (A) proceeded (B) by several short speeches in praise of (C) Ms. Harper’s many contributions to (D) the community. No error (E) Proceed 表示为着手处理，在此处不当，应改为precede。
4.简洁原则
Preparing to be a foreign service officer after graduation, both Mary and Keisha have decided to major in international affairs.

这题同学们很容易误选E。觉得planning 作为分词结构放在句首没有大问题，但是却忽略了一点，planning 和preparation 构成了重复，所以选择D 较为合适。其实这考点在以前出现过。如simultaneously 和at the same time，annual 和each year。
5.指代陷阱

在看这题的时候是否会按照一般出题逻辑很自然发现C 的they 和前面强调的cuttlefish 单复数不一致?中招啦! they 指的是researchers !答案为E。所以建议同学在考试时候不要太急，将题目读到底再作判断。
